Saeki Koushirou works as a wedding planner, but his own love life is a shambles. His background makes it difficult for him to commit himself wholeheartedly to love. The child of a divorced couple, he lives with his father. He has a mother and a sister, but he has not seen them in years. After being dumped by his girlfriend, a chance encounter with a female high school student shakes Koushirou's calm and awakens new feelings in him - but he learns that the girl is in fact his sister, who will now be staying with his father and him. Yet, the feelings in Koushirou's heart...
I didn't read the description of this anime correctly and i thought it was about a girl with the goal to become a wedding planner...it was a bit different.
This anime take a very uncomfortable subject and make it feel very real, I've come across anime that touch on the incest subject but without any feeling or shame, its just i want to have sex with you and i don't care that your my brother/sister.
This anime takes the issue very seriously and you can feel the torment of the characters, they know it isn't right and they try to deal with and move on with the feelings they feel towards each other.
Its really tragic, and i did feel sorry for the characters...the ending was OK, i wish it gave what the ultimate decision was, it did show a few options for example moving away together, but i didn't feel satisfied that it had come to a conclusion.
Besides the incest her age also made me feel very uncomfortable.
Overall i really enjoyed the anime, it came across very real and makes you think about the subject in a serious light. The other characters acted the way i felt they should and no one took the subject lightly.
The anime didn't really look that great and the music very forgettable. But for the story alone 8/10
I know I haven't posted in well ages but I'm getting back into the swing of things. Halloween is my favourite time of year so I thought I would share some of the spooky shorts I enjoy.

One day, when I was little, my sister's crying was bugging me so I killed her and threw her in a well.
The next day the body was gone.
Five years later, I got in a fight with a friend over something stupid, and I killed him too. I threw his body in the well, and the next day it was gone.
Ten years later, I accidentally got a chick pregnant when we were drunk. I killed her and threw her body in the well, and the next day it was gone.
Fifteen years later, I had this boss who was a dick. I killed him and threw him in the well. The next day, his body was gone.
Twenty years later, my mom was getting old and she needed to be put in a home. I didn't want to pay the money so I killed her and threw her body in the well.
The next day, it was still there.

(2) The Message
Don’t dismiss this outright as the work of some raving lunatic. There’s some sense to this story, if you’ll just hear me out…
Look, we all wonder if time travel is possible, right? Well let me tell you something… it is. I’m from the future, actually. I know you probably don’t believe that, but seriously, I’m from the future. It’s a really great thing; getting to see the past, watching events unfold.. stuff like that. We know more now than we ever would.
Behind all the fun, though, there is a more serious aspect. We aren’t supposed to go into our own lifetime, and we are NEVER allowed to contact our past selves. Let me tell you, I’m breaking that rule right now. Yes, kid, you’re talking to yourself. Your future self. I’m going to be executed for this, but you know what? I accept that. I’m preventing something by talking to you that is WORSE than death. I can’t tell you outright what to do, because the filters would catch it. This is the closest I can get, trust me. I can, however, send a little message.
You should probably read the first word of every paragraph, now.

(3) The Tape
During the summer of 1983, in a quiet town near Minneapolis, Minnesota, the charred body of a woman was found inside the kitchen stove of a small farmhouse. A video camera was also found in the kitchen, standing on a tripod and pointing at the oven. No tape was found inside the camera at the time.
Although the scene was originally labeled as a homicide by police, an unmarked VHS tape was later discovered at the bottom of the farm’s well (which had apparently dried up earlier that year).
Despite its worn condition, and the fact that it contained no audio, police were still able to view the contents of the tape. It depicted a woman recording herself in front of a video camera (seemingly using the same camera the police found in the kitchen). After positioning the camera to include both her and her kitchen stove in the image, the tape then showed her turning on the oven, opening the door, crawling inside, and then closing the door behind her. Eight minutes into the video, the oven could be seen shaking violently, after which point thick black smoke could be seen emanating from it. For the remaining 45 minutes of video, until the batteries in the camera died, it remained in its stationary position.
To avoid disturbing the local community, police never released any information about the tape, or even the fact that it was found. Police were also not able to determine who put the tape in the well, or why the height and stature of the woman in the video didn’t come close to matching the body they’d found in the oven.

(4) White With Red
A man went to a hotel and walked up to the front desk to check in. The woman at the desk gave him his key and told him that on the way to his room, there was a door with no number that was locked and no one was allowed in there. She explained that it was a storeroom, and that it was out of bounds. She reminded him of this several times before allowing him upstairs. So he followed the instructions of the woman at the front desk, going straight to his room, and going to bed. However the insistence of the woman had piqued his curiosity, so the next night he walked down the hall to the door and tried the handle. Sure enough it was locked. He bent down and looked through the wide keyhole. Cold air passed through it, chilling his eye.
What he saw was a hotel bedroom, like his, and in the corner was a woman whose skin was incredibly pale. She was leaning her head against the wall, facing away from the door. He stared in confusion for a while, was this a celebrity? The owners daughter? He almost knocked on the door, out of curiosity, but decided not to. As he was still looking, the woman turned sharply and he jumped back from the door, hoping she would not suspect he had been spying on her. He crept away from the door and walked back to his room. The next day, he returned to the door and looked through the wide keyhole. This time, all he saw was redness. He couldn’t make anything out besides a distinct red color, unmoving. Perhaps the inhabitants of the room knew he was spying the night before, and had blocked the keyhole with something red. He felt embarrassed that he had made the woman so uncomfortable, and hoped she had not made a complaint with the woman on the front desk.
At this point he decided to consult her for more information. After some gentle quizzing and the promise that the explanation would go no further than him she finally said “Well, I might as well tell you the story of what happened in that room. A long time ago, a man murdered his wife in there, we find that even now, people get uncomfortable staying there. But these people were not ordinary. They were white all over, except for their eyes, which were red.”

I will also share the narrators I watch on youtube, I can say 100% no scary images will pop up (its horrible when this happens and really annoying) there may be bangs or creepy song playing in the backgrounds though.
I also made some white chocolate, jelly filled eyeballs this year. Fairly easy to do just takes a long time to complete.
I stole this idea from this video
Just realised I forgot the pupil :( still tasted fab though)
Anyway that's me done for now, will get a least on book in before the month is over...so will have a mooch on amazon to see if I can find a free horror.

My Thoughts
I wasn't too sure what to think when I came across this anime, just didn't seem that interesting. The reviews I have seen online though said how good this anime was so that why I decided to give it a go. To start with I wasn't really feeling, it not sure if it was the style of the anime but I stuck with it. I'm glad I did.
Kyouko is such a funny character I really loved her she is a really strong person. I loved the drive behind all the characters and all of there flaws. The characters really make this anime you find out their stories, and they aren't mean or nice just because they are, there are reasons behind everything that is done or how people act.
The comedy is great and it also has a serious side, you get to find out what goes on behind the glamor. The character development is great, and they all have depth to them. I wish there was a second series.
It just has such a great mix of everything and its done really well. There is some romance but it doesn't dominate the show. Its really fun and I enjoyed it a lot which is great especially when you don't expect it.
Hikari Hanazono has always been second to Kei Takishima. When they were six years old, their pro-wrestling loving fathers introduced them to each other. Assuming that she was the best in wrestling, young Hikari challenged Kei to a wrestling match only to be thoroughly defeated by him.
Ever since that fateful incident, Hikari swore to beat Kei in school grades, sporting events - anything. To do this, she has enrolled in the same school as Kei since elementary. Now she attends Hakusenkan, an ultra elite school, that costs her carpenter father a lot of money.
Hikari and Kei are the top two students in the school, with Kei holding firmly to that number one position. While Hikari considers Kei to be a rival and important friend, she is completely unaware that Kei loves her. The story primarily focuses on Hikari and her constant attempts to defeat her one and only rival, Kei, and how she finds love in their rivalry.
This one was sweet and has the naivety you come to expect from these types of anime, normally this gets annoying but i did really enjoy this one.I think this is due to the comedy, I love romance with comedy as the stories can become the same and a bit stale, but the comedy really breaks this up.
Most episodes are ones you have seen before and are very generic. I mostly enjoyed the comedy but I did like the main couple and how they compete with each other. She just takes forever to find her feelings which i found mostly annoying. I did start to get bored towards the end.
Everyone has super long limbs ;p (random point I wanted to make)
Kaichō wa Maid-sama! pulled it off better in my opinion. So this would be your next stop if you liked Special A or Lovely complex which is also a fantastic romance/comedy.
3/5
Lovely★Complex
Synopsis
Risa and Otani are always being laughed at as the comedy duo. Risa, a girl, is taller than the average girl, and Otani, a boy, is shorter than the average boy. The two are always bickering and even their teacher sees them as a comedy act. But as their friendship develops, so do Risa's feelings toward Otani.
My Thoughts I liked because the characters weren't just falling for each other just because they are different, but they had loads of common interest. I do however think he thinks about his feelings just a bit too long and it dragged on, but the way the characters feeling grow and how unsure they are is done very well so I can't complain too much.
Again this one has comedy in there which for me makes up for a lot of things. I love the female in this she's not super cute sweet naive little girl, she is very funny makes mistakes but is also strong willed.
The story behind the episodes don't stand out too me, but the characters do and I think they really make this anime work.
3.5/5
Kimi ni Todoke
Synopsis Kuronuma Sawako is completely misunderstood by her classmates. Her timid and sweet demeanor is often mistaken for malicious behavior. This is due to her resemblance to the ghost girl from "The Ring", which has led her peers to give her the nickname Sadako. Longing to make friends and live a normal life, she is naturally drawn to Kazehaya Shouta, the most popular guy in class, whose "100% refreshing" personality earns him great admiration from Sawako. So when Kazehaya starts talking to her, maybe there is hope for the friendships Sawako has always longed for. Maybe...there is even a little hope for some romance in her future.
My Thoughts Now this one i know lot of people love and I do like it a lot..... but its just too sweet. Both of the main characters are too naïve and sweet to the point of annoyance. The supporting cast I liked a lot more.
It did have some real problems (like bullying) which I liked but on the flip side I felt these problems where just dragged on a hell of a lot, some could of been sorted in 1-1.5 episodes but just went on for 3-4.
I did enjoy this anime but i doubt i will watch the second series due to the fact it dragged on (maybe I'm just too impatient for a conclusion) but I did consider checking it out as I did enjoy the comedy in this, but its not as memorable as some of the other animes I have watched.
If you like super sweet main characters who would be kind to anyone no matter how mean the other person was, or who seem to be smart in general but when it about interacting with other people should walk around with a huge ? over there heads.
In fact I think the beginning of this started off really strong then I found the more it went on the more I didn't like it.
Anyway it is worth your time but if your not into it by the first 5 or so episodes it doesn't get any better in my opinion.
2.5/5
Sukitte Ii na yo
Synopsis Mei Tachibana has spent her 16 years without a boyfriend or friends. One day, she injures the most popular boy in school, Yamato Kurosawa, due to a misunderstanding. For some reason though, it seems that he takes a liking to her and one-sidedly claims that they're friends. Furthermore, he not only protects Mei from a stalker, but does so with a kiss…?!!
To be honest most of these I watched a while ago so they might not be so fresh in my mind but it seems this one made the least impression on me.
The guy is the typical super popular all the girls love him and will do almost anything to be with him. The girl well shes just flat, I guess she didn't have much personality and goes with the flow of things...I didn't think there was anything special about her at all.
This anime does go into some serious issues people deal with in real life, but mostly to do with how people looks so extreme diets and what it takes to be pretty.
I loved the artwork in this one but nothing really stands out for me. It is worth a watch but I don't think it will be one your going to remember. It is a good romance but just don't expect too much or anything to stand out.
I think it could of been so much more it just misses the mark somehow.

Bokura ga Ita

Nanami is clueless of who Yano is until the day of the class nomination when she made a fool of herself by calling the name of her new friend wrongly. It turns out that she has actually met Yano along the corridors (unaware of his true identity) and he tricked her by providing a random name, resulting in the embarrassing incident in class. My Thoughts
This one I found by chance, and I loved it.
This one had real problems and I don't mean the kind of jealousy, or backstabbing I mean real raw emotions.
This one was very serious and sweet and sad. And they both weren't naive (woop woop) In fact he is rather messed up and she is the sweetest thing ever.
It all just felt really honest and things weren't forced it just flowed great.
I think there are a few episodes in there that aren't needed but overall I loved the main story. I even liked the fact he wanted to have sex with her, most of these anime just have them holding hands or a huge build up to the kiss. The fact he wants more than this made it feel more like a real relationship.
The oddest thing is people are missing eyes a lot of the time I found this weird as I don't think I've seen it before. one point he gets out of a taxi out of breath (like he had been running) which made me giggle.
This one made me cry and I will be recommending to everyone.
Cimmeria has been more than a school for
Allie, it's been a safe haven. But no longer.
A nefarious group - one
that is tied up with Allie's family in ways she could barely imagine - is trying
to destroy everything Cimmeria stands for.
Even worse, it's clear that
somebody they eat with, sleep with, train with is betraying them. There's a spy
in Night School. As the paranoia grows and the fights begin, it's not an attack
from outside they need to worry about . . .
My Thoughts
Anyone who has read my other reviews on this series knows I love them, and I couldn't wait for this book to come out.
The characters are still fantastic and I find them all very interesting, I am interested in the story but I do have problems with this book.
This book just seemed the same as the last...I know we do find out more about the school, Allies past and the character development is still great. Allie did grow and change during this book.
But... a lot of the book was finding out information, then the end fight. To me its like an adventure game you go around finding these clues to come to the end boss... which is fine but the last book was the same. As I said in my last book review I was hoping this one would be faster paced with more action.
I don't know how long the series will be and I've never read a long series before so maybe this is the norm? this isn't to say this is a bad book. I still got through it really quickly and I will buy the next.
I enjoyed the first two books more and if another comes out I don't want the same thing again.
I still enjoyed the book and would recommend if you liked the first two
Cross Academy is an elite boarding school with two separate, isolated classes: the Day Class and the Night Class. On the surface, Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu are prefects of the academy, and attempt to keep order between the students as classes rotate in the evenings. As the night class is full of utterly gorgeous elites, this can sometimes prove to be a bit difficult. It is completely necessary, however, as those "elites" are actually vampires. Yuuki and Zero act as guardians, protecting the secrets of the Night Class and the safety of the ignorant day class.
As the adopted daughter of the academy's chairman, Yuuki takes her job with a serious and energetic attitude. It also allows her to interact with her secret crush and savior, the night class' dorm president, Kaname Kuran. Zero, on the other hand, has a deep-rooted hatred against vampires, and at times, does not hesitate to kill.
Can vampires and humans co-exist, even in the strict setup of the Cross Academy? Only time will tell.
I really liked this anime, the artwork was very dark and really made the atmosphere, and the vampires are beautiful but scary. The music was also great I loved the opening and ending songs again really suited the anime.
The overall story was great but it wasn't that good till the ends of Vampire Knight Guilty, when it all came together it seems so much better. But I have to say in the Vampire Knight the story did seem to be dragged out with not much of the plot moving forward and I got kind of bored with some episodes.
I really preferred the sub, I am normally lazy and watch the dubbed if there is one available. But Yuuki's voice did not suit the anime and took me out of the zone all together, why is her voice so sweet and cute? makes no sense at all, and with her being the main character you have to hear it constantly, the sound of the Japanese voices seemed to go perfectly.
It was all very dramatic and you could really feel the emotion in the characters, the fight scenes were fantastic, and while very dragged out the love triangle I thought was awesome.
Yuuki annoyed me she was always crying and I guess whiny, at first I was all for her....she seemed a strong female lead but over time she just got annoying.
I would give this Anime a 3/5 and would say give it a try. This is my first Vampire Anime so I don't have much to compare it to.
In the last year, Allie's survived three arrests, two breakups and one family
breakdown. The only bright point has been her new life at Cimmeria Academy. It's
the one place she's felt she belongs. And the fact that it's brought the dreamy
Carter West into her life hasn't hurt. . . But far from being a safe haven, the cloistered walls of Cimmeria are proving
more dangerous than Allie could've imagined. The students, and faculty, are
under threat and Allie's family - from her mysterious grandma to her runaway
brother - are at the centre of the storm. Allie is going to have to choose between protecting her family and trusting
her friends. But secrets have a way of ripping even the strongest relationships
apart . . .
Its hard to review the book without spoiling anything, but I won't.
Its been awhile since when I read the first book which I loved, so I thought maybe I might not remember the characters and find it hard to adjust but I didn't have a problem, I dived straight in. I don't know why I started reading it so late in the day as I couldn't put it down, it was just one more chapter to just till 1am, I finally went to bed at 3:30am....I'm so tired and I have work tonight :(.
Anyway this book had romance, drama, friendships, mystery just like the last one. I was impressed, I thought with what was revealed in the last book this one might not be able to match up to that...but it was just as great.
I didn't think this one was as action packed as the last and it has more of a slow build up, the action seemed to be over really quickly, but from the way it ended I think the next book is going to be bursting with it.
Its really the mystery that makes this book for me, I needed to find out more. All the characters hold some amount of mystery to them, and I'm with Allie all the way wanting her to find out who to trust.
The only thing I didn't agree with was the direction Allies relationship goes, all that effort in the last book as well.
I can't wait for the next book which is out on the 15th of August so I'm going to pre-order it.
Ever since she entered high school, Kotoko Aihara wanted to be in the same class as Naoki Irie. The only problem is that Irie is the smartest student in school contrast to Kotoko being one of the dumbest. Now in her 3rd year of high school, she still isn't there. However, one day her home gets destroyed and the only place left to go to was Irie's home. Now that she lives close to him, will their relationship be the same, or will it become greater than it is? Itazura na Kiss - MyAnimeList
My Thoughts
The main problem I had was Naoki I just didn't like his character at all he was so mean and when he made progress he just turned into a jerk again for no reason. I was willing Kotoko just to move on with her life and I just couldn't take the way he acted towards her, seemed more sad than a love story. I did start to warm up towards him near the end but it was a long journey.
What I did like was the progression, normally you go through a lot of effort just for it to end at the first kiss but this anime goes beyond that which was great.
I didn't find anything special about this anime, the comedy was good the story was Ok, but nothing stood out for me.
I think if you really like romance but your always left wanting more after the first kiss you will get enjoyment out of this and I recommend you give it a go. But apart for that it fell a bit flat.
This anime was such a strange experience, if you like music just go get on this right now I'm sure you will love this anime.
I googled reverse harem to see what was out there and this one came up, now I'm not big on music an I didn't think this would be my thing. I was more interested in the romance and comedy side of things, but I have to say I really enjoyed the music side.
The romance nothing resolves or comes to anything, its just why these guys like this girl and they have different stories and reasons, I really enjoyed all the characters which really makes an anime like this work.
The comedy although not as much as I would of liked was still great. You have the guy who likes everything small/cute and the small guy who hates being called small and cute. Yes its done a lot but I really liked enjoyed it in this anime. Then you have the headmaster...that guy is a riot and I got all pumped up when he was on screen.
I have to say the overall story..or maybe just the conculsion, no the overall bigger picture at the end of the 2nd series is insane, I honestly don't know how it was thought up I was laughing so much and I'm not sure if this was the intension, but I can't for a second imagine it was meant to be taken seriously.
I would love to see more, but I did feel satisfied with the end and I don't have the feeling that it just ended suddenly or anything (I hate that) and maybe if there was more it would get boring as I don't know where else they could take it, and it would just end up being the same thing over and over.
This was just light-hearted, fun and really enjoyable, I would give it 4/5
A very powerful industrialist directs his daughter to pick a husband from three candidates he has chosen for her. They are to come into her life, and their uniqueness would cause her to recognize them immediately. All three of the candidates are outstanding. Well, it’s actually four...
The story evolves along the lines of a power political mystery involving a small middle eastern country
At first I really liked this anime, its not my usual drawing style but I got used to it and came to really like it.
It gets very deep and becomes more about the story than just the romance. The story is very political and they all become involved in fighting for the best outcome for a country. This is a positive and a negative, I enjoyed the story and parts surprised me but it also got kind of boring to the point I stopped watching it for awhile.
The romance I really liked as she got to know the characters, you get to find out so much about them and how they all mesh together I thought was clever.
It was enjoyable but long winded, and I wasn't satisfied with the ending I just wanted a little more on the romance side.
All the characters had a deep back story and just has a lot of personality to them, which is what kept me interested.
I would recommend giving this a go, it might not be one you sit through all in one go, but its different from what I've seen and in that respects its an interesting one.
A school love comedy. Kotoura Haruka is a 15-year-old girl who can read people's minds. She has been suffering from troubles caused by her mind-reading ability, and her parents got divorced as a result. She moves to a new high school but tries to keep away from her classmates. Manabe Yoshihisa, one of her classmates, accepts and appreciates her ability and she begins to interact with her friends with his help.
I loved the take on the whole mind reading thing, I haven't come across this way of doing it before. Kotoura-San is born with this power and to her its just a normal thing that people do, she doesn't understand why people say one thing and think something else. She also can't understand why people get angry if she points out what there really thinking.
For example there is a part where her dad says he's got a business meeting, and she points out that he's not really going to a meeting but seeing a woman in a hotel....she just doesn't know these things aren't meant to be said.
Due to this people hate her even her own mother (who is a total cow) hates her, her parents disown her and her grandpa takes her in...he is a mega pervert, in a light hearted way? its really weird but this is meant to be funny ( I cant get my head around this humor)
She ends up in another new school but one boy Manabe goes out of his way to make her feel welcome and new friendships form.
I loved this story but while it was awesome, it just could of been more..I think it was the ending that let it down. I liked the whole mystery part and found it really interesting and the comedy was great. The beginning was so intense it would of been hard to keep it at that level. Overall its defiantly worth you time but goes downhill towards the end.
I was just itching for more
Both the comedy and drama is done so well in the anime.

I thought this might be another one of those books that I just end up hating, but for some reason I can't help but read...you know the ones two people fall in love instantly and all they do is fall out and have sex in a totally unhealthy relationship.
But I was totally wrong, this book has real issues and consequences for actions. The characters had a lot more to them than just an obsession over one person, and I found parts totally unexpected.
You do get the convenient everyone has money so that's never a real problem, and the girl it totally hot but doesn't realise (although I didn't find this as annoying as normal)
I liked the main character and how witty she was and her interactions with other characters, and I like the journey she goes on and how she grows as a character.
This isn't the happy romance, it deals with some serious issues and isn't a light hearted read. The plot was well thought out and the ending really came together.
It was extremely hard to put down I needed to know what was going to happen, the story always seemed to give more information to move things along without getting stale.
This was a story with some sex in it, not loads of sex with a half arsed story. I think this is the one the book I've been looking for.
4.5/5
Its taken me awhile to write a review as I started a book but I'm not really getting into...I'm not one to give up but I was getting into a slump so I've decided from now on just to move it along.
Fujioka Haruhi wins a scholarship to attend Ouran Academy, a school reserved for only the most rich and prestigious. Despite what other students may think of her, she cares little for physical appearances or the fact that she is a commoner.
Unfortunately for Haruhi, her high school days take a sudden turn when she stumbles upon the Host Club, an elite club filled with super rich and beautiful boys who use their specific traits and charms to entertain young ladies. Even worse, Haruhi accidentally breaks an 8-million yen vase in the club. Since she is unable to repay her debt with money, Haruhi finds herself with no choice but to work for the Host Club, becoming a male host herself.
This Anime is so self aware, its hilarious every character can hold there own. Its very typical for its type but the fact that it makes fun of itself takes it to a different level.
Tamaki is the prince
Kaoru and Hikaru twins that have a very loving relationship (made me feel very uncomfortable, but this was also why it was so funny)
Kyoya is the brains
Honey the innocent
Mori the strong silent type
Then we have Haruhi the natural
Honestly when I heard about this show I wasn't sure if it was for me, but after the first episode I was hooked, and it isn't that expensive to buy I got my copy off Amaon UK for £10
So over all it was fantastic, liked the music loved the style and fell in loved with all the characters. A few episodes fell a bit short but the bulk of it was great...I wish there was a second season coming out.
I have to say I normally watch the sub version as the voices always seem more natural (more suited) to the anime, but I loved the dubbed version it was fantastic.
If you liked Kaichou wa Maid-sama then you will probably like this also.
“I think something might have happened to me Saturday night. Something

Private Investigator Dani Ripper’s client list is nuttier than the
Looney Tunes conga line, but she diligently solves one crazy case after another,
waiting for a game-changer.
Enter Riley Freeman, 17-year-old honor
student.
Saturday afternoon Riley quietly placed a little strawberry
sticker on her private area and pretended it was a tattoo. She didn’t tell
anyone about it. That night she went to a slumber party that featured drinking
and boys. Riley fell asleep, woke up the next day with no reason to think
anything happened…
…Until Monday, at school, when a classmate called her
Strawberry.
Coincidence or crime? Dani agrees to investigate. And the
roller coaster ride begins.
My Thoughts
The style this book is written in will be a love it or hate it kind of thing. I think if your not into it by the first few chapters your not going to like this book.
The story I liked, it was a bit far fetched but I did like the way it all came together. While I found many parts amusing which I felt it needed for the serious story under the humour, I do feel a more serious ending might of been better (not sure it just didn't feel real). The story had a fast pace and moved along quickly, I was always left wanting more. it was very quirky and I enjoyed the writing style.
The characters I did really like, I loved Dani the way she talks and thinks about things, the way she interacts with people is very enjoyable. But Riley and the teenagers just felt very unreal, that acted so mature and there is no way they could of put this plan together.
I just found this a very quick enjoyable read, I can see why some people didn't enjoy it but I have a very sarcastic sense of humour and loved how this book was written.
I would say give this book a go, its clever in the way its done but unbelievable at the same time. I enjoyed this book very much and will but buying more of John Locke's books.
Desperate for work to avoid eviction from
her Seattle apartment, photographer Chey Sinclair accepts a rare opportunity to
travel abroad and photograph Latvala Royalty. Encountering the Royals for the
first time, Chey experiences an instant attraction to Mattias, second in line to
the throne. He's charming, confident—and taken.
During a horseback ride
to clear her head, Chey finds herself in a scuffle with Sander Fisk, head of
security. Rugged, determined and sharp tongued, Sander is infuriating as well as
intriguing.
Faced with conflicting emotions and a mystery unfolding in
the castle, Chey must decide between men: a Prince of Latvala, or an arrogant
rogue.
She discovers the hard way that this particular fairy tale was
more than she ever bargained for.
I have to say this is not what I expected, it was more than 1 hot girl with loads of guys desperate to get in to her pants.
It was a quick read and finished it in 1 sitting. The writing I did find confusing in some parts but either it got better or I didn't notice as much.
I did enjoy the twist, I knew it was going to happen but I still liked it.
I liked all the Royals but the main girl fell a bit flat for me there wasn't anything special about her. The story said she was witty but there wasn't much banter and I feel if the conversations between the characters were better the story would of improved.
I did like the book and found it entertaining, the pacing was good and I enjoyed the romance. If the main girl had a personality then it would of encouraged me to purchase the other 2 books following this one.
So I would say its worth your time and best of all Amazon UK have it for free
I did look into the other books but at £2.54 will give it a miss if it drops to around £1 then I would defiantly give it a read. I would give this book
